Killian McCarthy gained a PhD, in 2011, in the Economics of Corporate Strategy, for a performance study of 35,000+ European, North American and Asian acquisitions in the period 1990-2010. His focus is as much on the financial / economic side, as it is on the human / leadership side.
Today, Killian McCarthy continues to research, and to teach on merger performance. He has written three books on the performance of mergers and acquisitions, and he has provided training and advice to a number of large multinationals on the topic. Merger performance remains his focus, although he has also published on the interesting topics of corporate tax competition, money laundering and criminal finance, as well as on the influence of media power on consumer and business sentiment.
